Tristan and Brianne’s Wedding in Glenwood Springs, CO – June 2012
Bart was a Groomsmen in the wedding of one of his oldest friends from High School, Tristan. The wedding was at this super cute hotel in Glenwood Springs, where the wedding party took over the entire place. It was a lot like Summer Camp for the weekend with hiking, camp fires, and long nights of drinking and dancing. We are so excited for Tristan and Brianne – their wedding couldn’t have been more perfect!
Colorado Fragile X Elephant Rock Ride – June 3, 2012
CFX’s 3rd Annual Elephant Rock Ride Fundraiser was this month; we raised less than we wanted, but still enough to continue doing the great things that CFX does. Parker joined the event for moral support – he had a blast!
Bart is much more interested in planning the honeymoon, so we have the meat of that planned as well – we’re headed to Bora Bora! Right now we are booked at the Four Seasons Bora Bora for 10 days, but will likely add on 3 more days in Tahiti. We’ll be headed on our ‘moon about two weeks after the wedding – just enough time to get our lives back in order so we can properly relax. We can’t wait!
The Date is Set!
If you haven’t heard already, Bart and I have set the wedding date – the big day will be on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at the Four Seasons Resort Vail. Invites should be going out any day, but we also have a Wedding Website with all of the important details. We are both super excited that it has all come together, and we’re even more excited about celebrating with you!
Lana and Yoav’s Wedding in Milwaukee – May 26-28, 2012
Okay, okay, I totally missed the boat getting this into a May post – oops. It was the end of May, so I feel like June is close enough. With that said, the wedding of Lana and Yoav was one not to be missed – amazing doesn’t quite cover it. First, have you ever been to a Russian wedding? Me neither….but they are AWESOME! The food (and the vodka) flows like water – it seriously just kept coming, and coming, and then coming some more. The photo below was just the first course – there were so many more after that. But what was particularly great was the bride and groom themselves – Lana and Yoav are both such amazing people and we could not have felt more honored to be a small part of their day….or even just spectators, really.
Just too add to what was already an awesome weekend, we also got to spend an afternoon with my brother Matt, Kim, and my nephew Logan. I can’t believe how big he’s getting, but I suppose that is what you always say about kids, right?! Anyway, we had a great time exploring the Milwaukee Public Museum with Logan – while you can’t actually see any butterflies, the picture below was taken in the butterfly pavilion at the museum…Logan attracted quite a few!
